DataGerry Release 3.3.0: Rack planning, port management, and network cabling—all directly in the CMDB! DataGerry | Release 3.3.0
Here’s an overview of the most important new features:
Rack View – Visually Manage Data Center Racks
Servers, switches, patch panels, and UPSs can now be placed directly in an interactive rack view. Thanks to drag-and-drop functionality, front and rear views, and automatic checking of available height units, rack planning becomes significantly more organized.
Port Management & Patch Panels – Centrally document connections
Ports, patch panels, and cable connections are maintained directly within the configuration items. Especially convenient: Using the new wizard, you can create 48 switch ports—including a naming scheme—in just a few seconds.
Cabling View – Visually track network connections
Which switch is connected to which end device via which patch panel? The new Cabling View makes physical cable paths transparent—even across multiple patch panels. This simplifies troubleshooting network issues, planning network upgrades, and preparing documentation for audits.
Import & Export – Easier Import of Inventory Data
New import wizards, support for multiple data sections (CSV, XLSX, XML), and improved validations simplify data migration and the exchange of CMDB data.
Enhanced security, performance, and usability
Consistent permission checks, an improved location tree, faster object views, and over 50 bug fixes round out this release.
