Hello,
after update datagerry to version 3.0.0 on my exists objects which has relations doesn’t show any relations
i show you one object from som object types:
It should works with old relations in object fields (Special controls→Reference).
and this
Anyone doesn’t want to rewrite and redefine the same object in cmdb for new fields or other mechanism.
For me it is a bug for this moment
Please fix it
Hi @marcinw,
Thank you for reaching out. The CI Explorer offers a powerful visual representation of your Configuration Item (CI) relationships - but it only displays content if a relationship actually exists.
What You Need to Do
-
Define Relation Types
Navigate to Framework → Relations and create an n:m Relation Type, which serves as the schema for linking objects. This allows you to model complex scenarios like Server–Application deployments, Devices–Networks, and more (read more)
-
Establish Object Relations
After defining a relation type, you must create the actual relationships between individual objects based on that schema. Without these, the CI Explorer will remain empty.
-
Use CI Explorer to View Relations
Once object relations exist, you can open the CI Explorer via the icon in the top‑right of any object’s detail view. The central object will appear with its related objects arranged hierarchically above and below (read more)
P.S. CI Explorer relies on true n:m relations - not reference fields - because only n:m relations support bidirectional, hierarchical mapping between multiple objects, which is essential for the Explorer’s interactive visualization.

Why i can’t use again relationship if i use it once (it work like a relation n:m) so i should use it again and again.
Look at my example, here’s what’s happening:
-
Since I’ve already added a “runs on” relation, the “Add Relation” button no longer offers that option - it’s already selected.
-
Instead, you’ll now see the relation type displayed as a tab (e.g., “runs on”) containing my existing relations, such as “#10 Server - Dev Server”.
-
To create additional relation of the same relation type (i.e., leveraging the n:m capability), simply click the “Add runs on” button within that tab - this gives you the form to select and link another valid object. It doesn’t require redefining the relation type, only establishing a new instance between objects
So in short: you don’t need to re-select the relation type each time - just enter the relevant tab and click the Add [relation] button to add more relations.
sincerely,

Thanks for answer and i fiound this button in this section. It is a little non-intuitive but you will have to get used to it.
Now i have 2 questions:
- Could you consider adding multiple relationships at once in the “Create Additional Relationship” pop-up window, so you can add all the necessary ones at once? For example, a plus button that would add another “Child Selection” field where you could add another relationship, and so on, until you’re done. Finally, confirm with the “Confirm Creation” button?
etc
- Could i use some functionality like a bulk change to add the same relation for many objects?
Hi @marcinw,
Your feature request will be discussed in the next PM meeting. Further information will be provided afterwards.
sincerely,
Your DataGerry Team
Hello,
thanks for taking this into consideration for the next rapid feature development
think also about bulk change to many objects to change or add relations
Hello @marcinw,
Thanks for your input! We’re happy to share that your request for bulk adding relations was approved in our recent project-management meeting. While we don’t have a timeline yet, it’s now on our development roadmap.
We truly appreciate your input and ongoing support!
Sincerely,
Your DataGerry Team
