# Can't create or save existing Objects after customizing the type

Hi, I am currently testing Datagerry and I like it a lot, but in my tests I ran into a problem:  
I created the Type “Ship” with some fields and created an example object. Then I thought "Oh it might be better if I use this field instead and changed the type.  
BUT after that step I could no longer change the existing object or create a new. I could reproduce this with another type.  
Is this known and/or am I just dumb (schema change afterwards is always risky)?

Hi @P.Ahlgrimm,

could you provide us with a step by step guide and sample data for this issue?  
This way we can easily reproduce and fix it.
